For beginners the new Simple Mode displays only the essential information in large font and limits the menu options. Normal Mode offers full functionality for more advanced users. The large, omni directional, low noise microphone records sounds from all directions with less noise and reduced breath sound. The recorder is equipped with a built in stand on the back for convenient desktop use to reduce surface noise. Two modes have been added to Scene Select for optimizing recording of telephone conversations and duplicating cassette tapes.
